Once an order has been placed we do not offer any cancellations. However, if you made a mistake or would like to change something in your order we’d be happy to adjust it within 24hrs of your order being placed.

Made to order means that we only make the piece once an order has been received.

This helps us minimize our waste as much as possible as we do not have any excess stock and only create for the demand in efforts to be as sustainable as possible !

We are now offering a rush service, this means that you can receive your pieces with a shorter production time!

We charge a 20% fee of the total cost of your order.

Here at Em & May sustainability is always on our mind. From the time the pieces are designed to the shipping of your order, we aim to create as little of an environmental impact as possible.

— We only source eco-friendly fabrics (recycled, Oeko-Tex certified, or deadstock) for all of our pieces.

— All employees work in an ethical work environment and are paid fairly.

— For shipping purposes, we use products made from recycled materials or other eco-friendly options. All paper used is made from recycled paper including our bags, hang tags, postcards, shipping boxes, stickers, and tissue paper. Our tape is printed on gummed kraft paper that is fully recyclable.

All items are designed, produced, and shipped out of Montreal, QC, Canada.

This allows us to keep a close eye on production and quality control. This also provides us the possibility to offer such a large size range and custom sizing!

When we finish cutting our pieces, our scraps are sorted based on if it is big enough for us to cut another item in it.

The pieces that are large enough are kept for future use. All other smaller pieces are donated to local designers who use scraps in their work.

This means we basically have zero fabric waste <3

Deadstock is a term to describe leftover stock from other companies in the industry.

We source all of our deadstock fabrics/trims locally and they are typically in limited quantities.

If you order from Canada you will be taxed according to your province’s tax %.

All international orders will be charged duties upon arrival.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, send us an email at info@emandmay.com with the request for an exchange within 30 days of receiving your order and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

The items MUST be in unworn condition, tags attached, and original receipt included. We reserve the right to deny an exchange if the above conditions are not followed.

We do NOT accept any refunds or order cancellations; we only allow exchanges or store credit. Once an order has been placed, only sizing or address changes can be made within 24hrs of ordering.

We do not accept any exchanges on underwear to ensure the health and safety of our employees. We are more than happy to recommend a size via email to ensure the perfect fit!

Items can only be exchanged for items from the same collection.

We reserve the right to deny or accept any exchange on a case-by-case basis, depending on the issue with the item.

Customers are responsible for all shipping fees, duties, and taxes associated with the exchange. We are not responsible for any shipping or duty fees when shipping back an item for exchange.

Holiday guarantees and rush orders will be shipped with an estimated delivery date before the holiday or agreed rush date.

We are not responsible for any postal delays once the order has been shipped.

If your measurements don’t align with our size chart, don’t worry we got you!

By selecting custom sizing you are able to directly input your measurements to ensure the best possible fit.

Custom sizing can range from custom inseams, bust adjustments, plus size, and more.

No! There are no additional fees when ordering custom sizing.

Bust: Measure the circumference of your chest. Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust.

Waist: Measure the circumference of your waist. The tape should be placed at your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your torso.

Hip: Measure the circumference of your hips. The tape should be placed around the fullest part of your butt.

Arm length: Bend your arm slightly and measure from the top of your shoulder over the elbow to your wrist.

Crotch to belly button (rise): While wearing a pair of pants, measure from the middle crotch seam to your bellybutton. This will help determine the rise needed (high or low rise).

Inseam: Measure length from crotch of well-fitting pants to just below ankle. Please note: wearing shoes is recommended if you want a more accurate fit.

**It is the customer’s responsibility to accurately take these measurements to ensure the best fit. We are not responsible for any sizing issues if wrong measurements were provided. Please email us if you are unsure of how to measure yourself.

All custom pieces are final sale. We handle custom sizing exchanges on a case-by-case basis as the pieces were made custom to you.
